The doorbell rings...

Travel clothes laid out, baths had and hairs washed, PJs on. Exhaustion set it in at 1am...was it the 9pm drive to Dublin airport to collect  Meg, the excitement of seeing Meg after six weeks, the last minute searches for batteries, extension leads and various electrical accessories (who would have thought there were so many variations in cables?) or the final rolling of clothes into the ruck sacks? Whatever, sleep came quickly and deeply and it seemed no time until the alarm sounded at 5am. No turning over for second sleeps, no retorts of 'just 2 more minutes' ; it was just all action stations. Happy voices chattering away, final checks...if we don't have we'll buy it. Where are the printed  copies of the tickets? Passports? Does everyone have their money in their money belt. Have forgotten anything? No, ok ready to go. It's 6am, the doorbells rings....it's Artur to collect us. Yes, we are on our way to Dublin Airport. The adventure begins!
